Gilbert Adrian is one of my favorite costume designers and he is perhaps most famously known for designing costumes for the Wizard of Oz and for Hollywood stars including Joan Crawford (it is said he created the large shoulder pad look of the 1940's)

1940s Butterick 6500 Santa Claus Suit Costume Vintage Sewing Pattern Size:Medium 5 inches at highestThis is a rare 1940's vintage sewing pattern Butterick 6500 for a Santa Claus suit costume. The 13 piece pattern includes a hooded coat with a belt and pants that they called "leggings" in the description, but look more like fuller jogger pants with elastic at the waist and the hem. Chest: 42" Cut, unprinted complete pattern.
